The Mipa 2K Activ Etch Primer is a professional-grade, acid-curing primer designed to deliver superior corrosion protection and outstanding adhesion on challenging substrates.

Formulated without chromates, this high-performance primer is ideal for aluminium surfaces and provides excellent bonding on iron, steel, and galvanized substrates, ensuring a durable foundation for subsequent coatings.

Engineered for versatility, Mipa Activ Primer can be overcoated with all Mipa 1K and 2K systems (excluding epoxy coatings and waterborne basecoats) and is suitable for use in a three-layer application (primer, filler, topcoat).

It's active corrosion protection makes it the perfect choice for automotive refinishing and industrial applications where long-term durability is essential.

Supplied in a 5-litre container, this primer offers a spreading rate of 8.0–10.0 m²/l and forms a thin, effective layer with a dry coat thickness of 10–15 µm.

With a pot life of up to 12 hours at 20°C, it provides ample working time while ensuring fast drying—dust dry in as little as 4–6 minutes and ready for overcoating within 30 minutes.
