Mipa SMP Rust Sealant (100ml) acts as a potent treatment designed to react with moisture in rust layers, effectively sealing and solidifying the substrate. Its excellent penetration capacity allows it to work deeply even in thick layers of rust, whilst also halting zinc corrosion. You are only required to remove loose rust before application, which simplifies the preparation process. It offers strong adhesion to iron, steel, aluminium, and zinc surfaces. Once applied, the treated area is sealed and can be quickly overcoated with Mipa 1K or 2K primer or Mipa body filler.

For application, the Mipa SMP Rust Sealant (100ml) can be used undiluted or thinned with Mipa 2K Verdnnung normal V 25 for spray methods. It is crucial to work in an environment with temperatures from plus ten degrees Celsius and up to eighty per cent relative humidity. Since this product reacts with moisture, always close the container immediately after use to preserve the contents; it is often sensible to pour a smaller amount out of the tin before beginning your work. When stored in an unopened original container, the product remains viable for one year.

Surface preparation: Remove loose rust, oil, grease, dirt, and any paint layers with underfilm corrosion.
Dust dry time: 10 to 15 minutes at 20 degrees Celsius.
Recoat time: 30 to 60 minutes.
Flash off time: 5 to 8 minutes between coats (10 to 15 minutes before oven drying).
Storage life: 1 year in an unopened original container.
Application compatibility: Suitable for use with gravity spray guns and HVLP equipment.
